violence-related incidents posted to the Incidents section of the
Center's Web site:
"The NCAA has suspended University of New Hampshire receiver...for the
2009 football season after a drug test. The NCAA says [he] violated its
banned substance use policy..."
"Two York College students have been charged in a February underage
drinking party at an off-campus home..."
"The assault is one of six hate crimes reported to Public Safety over
the past two and a half months on Capitol Hill, said..., Seattle
[University's] director of Public Safety..."
"A charge against one of the 12 Utah State University students charged
with various misdemeanor counts stemming from the alcohol poisoning
death of Michael Starks have been dismissed..."
"Former [University of Arizona] quarterback...was arrested Saturday on
an extreme DUI charge, police said today..."
"Three [University of Tennessee Chattanooga] police officers were placed
on paid administrative leave last week pending the outcome of an
investigation into alleged inappropriate alcohol use on campus, a UTC
official said..."
"Widespread fears of an armed gunman on [the Princeton University]
campus were assuaged early Saturday morning when Public Safety and
Borough Police officers established that the individual in question was
a student carrying a permanently disabled firearm to his friend's
room..."
"A [Connecticut College junior] from West Islip on her way to a
humanitarian trip in Uganda was killed yesterday when the van she was
riding in was hit by a wrong-way drunken driver with his lights off,
Connecticut State Police and a school official said..."
