...bill would let bars seize fake IDs

"The bill would require state stores, bars, restaurants, six-pack shops
and beer distributors - anyone subject to the state's liquor code - to
confiscate an identification card if they have reason to believe it is
fake."

"Furthermore, the bill would give those places the authority to detain a
person believed to passing a fake ID until police can be summoned."

"At the moment, there is nothing in the law that authorizes those places
to seize false IDs. So...there is nothing to stop an 18-year-old with
his older brother's driver's license from leaving a bar he's been turned
away from and trying his luck at the next one down the street..."
