Cal Poly Greeks agree to reduce risky behaviors

"Greek organizations at Cal Poly are being closely watched as university
officials and Greek student leaders take new measures to reduce risky
behavior among fraternities and sororities."
"These developments came out of a two-day retreat organized by Cal Poly
officials earlier this month."
"The Greek summit held in Cambria Jan. 9 to 11 was attended by about 70
of the university's top Greek student leaders as well as nine
high-ranking Cal Poly administrators..."
"At the summit, students agreed to eliminate alcohol from the pledging
process to help reduce risk for students. Chico State University has
adopted a similar measure to help reduce alcohol-related problems in the
Greek community there, Lamb said..."
