The Higher Education Center is pleased to make the following
announcements:

1) NM07 EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION DEADLINE APPROACHING

The early bird registration fee of $285 per person (less for students)
for the U.S. Department of Education's 21st Annual National Meeting on
Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse and Violence Prevention in Higher Education
is available through Monday, September 17. After September 17, the rate
increases to $330 per person.

2) 2007 ALCOHOL & SUBSTANCE ABUSE SUMMIT

The North Dakota Department of Human Services presents the 2007 Alcohol
& Substance Abuse Summit, September 11-12, 2007, at the Ramkota Hotel in
Bismarck, ND.

This conference, entitled "Thriving in the Field: Prevention,
Intervention, and Treatment," features experts from across the nation on
the prevention and treatment of alcohol and other drug abuse.

3) WCASA'S SEXUAL VIOLENCE AND THE COLLEGE CAMPUS CONFERENCE

The Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault, Inc. is hosting the
Sexual Violence and the College Campus Conference, September 17-18,
2007, at the Madison Marriott West, and University of Wisconsin-Madison
Campus.

Join advocates, campus staff, faculty and administrators, and students
to explore the unique issues of sexual assault prevention and
intervention on campus. National speakers Byron Hurt and Anne Munch will
focus on how media portrayals of sexual violence impact students and
shapes campus response.
