ATTENTION: Temporary Unavailability of Department of Education's
<br />
e-Grants System
<br />

On Friday, December 23, 2005, the U.S. Department of Education's Office
<br />
of Safe and Drug-Free Schools announced the availability of its
<br />
application package for their Grant Competition to Prevent High-Risk
<br />
Drinking or Violent Behavior Among College Students. The application
<br />
transmittal deadline date is Monday, February 6, 2006.
<br />

Applications for grants under this grant competition may be submitted
<br />
electronically or in paper format by mail or hand delivery. The
<br />
electronic submission of applications is voluntary. If you choose to
<br />
submit your application electronically you must use the Department's
<br />
e-Grants Web site (http://e-grants.ed.gov/). NOTE: THE e-GRANTS SITE
<br />
WILL BE UNAVAILABLE FROM 7:00PM (ET) ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2 UNTIL
<br />
7:00AM (ET) ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6 FOR SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE.
<br />

Furthermore, if you choose to submit your application electronically,
<br />
you must COMPLETE the electronic submission of your grant application by
<br />
4:30pm (ET) on the application deadline date. The e-Application system
<br />
will not accept an application for this competition after 4:30pm (ET) on
<br />
the application deadline date. Therefore, it is strongly recommended
<br />
that you do not wait until the application deadline date to begin the
<br />
application process. Please plan accordingly if you intend to submit
<br />
your application electronically.

three places on the Internet:
