The U.S. Department of Education's Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools
(OSDFS) announces the Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Models on
College Campuses Grant Competition for Fiscal Year 2005.

OSDFS expects to award approximately 10 grants, ranging from $50,000 to
$125,000, to institutions of higher education (IHEs) that offer an
associate or baccalaureate degree and have not received an award under
this grant competition during the previous five fiscal years. The goals
of this competition are to identify models of effective alcohol and
other drug (AOD) prevention programs at institutions of higher education
(IHEs) and disseminate information about these programs to other
colleges and universities where similar efforts may be adopted.

Additional information and the application can be found on the Higher
Education Center's Grants Info page, http://www.edc.org/hec/grants/.
Applications are due August 1, 2005.

You can find information on the awardees of the previous rounds of this
OSDFS grant competition in the Higher Education Center's publication,
Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention on College Campuses: Model Programs,
which is available to order or download on the publications page of the
Higher Education Center's Web site, http://edc.org/hec.
