The U.S. Department of Education invites presentation proposals for its
19th Annual National Meeting on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse and Violence
Prevention in Higher Education.

Sessions proposed for presentations should be aligned with one of the
NIAAA strategies pertaining to alcohol and other drug topics or good
practices if pertaining to violence. While quantitative evidence of
effectiveness is not mandatory, we encourage discussion of data-gathering
and evaluation consistent with the NIAAA framework (www.edc.org/hec/niaaa/report.html).

This year's National Meeting will take place in Indianapolis October 2-5,
2005. The National Meeting Web site provides an online feature for
proposal submission on or before Monday, May 16, 2005. Visit the site at www.higheredcenter.org/natl/2005.

You can learn more at the same Web site about the National Meeting agenda,
the National Forum for Senior Administrators, hotel and airlines
discounts, and Indianapolis cultural and educational attractions.
