Wisconsin sets pace in alcohol study
College students follow state's lead on drinking

"Binge drinking on Wisconsin's college campuses is directly related to the
high levels of drinking among the general adult population, says a
national study released Tuesday.
"The study, published in the March issue of American Journal of Public
Health, addresses the drinking behavior among college students and other
adults across the nation. It is based on data combined from more than
14,000 interviews conducted in 1999 and 2000 by the Center for Disease
Control and Prevention and the Harvard School of Public Health College
Alcohol Survey..."
