Re: Beer salt

When I was in college back in the 70's I worked for several years in a
party store. We sold a product called "Beer Salt" in a red container about
the size of a Morton Salt round container. It never sold very well but it
was an additive to beer that gave it a 'salty' taste. I tried it once but
did not care for it. I don't know if this may be what you are referring to
and I haven't seen the product since.

Has anyone ever heard this term used to refer to a drug, type of drink, or
other "psychoactive compound"? A colleague encountered the term on another
list and asked me and I have never heard of such a thing. A quick search on
Google and Erowid produce "nada."

Best regards,
