POSITION VACANCY
COORDINATOR, STUDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The Coordinator of the Student Assistance Program at Lincoln Center is
responsible for planning and implementing the alcohol and other drug
prevention, intervention and programmatic efforts. This person will work
with individual students, student organizations, faculty, and staff in a
variety of roles to promote awareness and understanding of alcohol and other
drug issues. The person also assists in the implementation of programmatic
efforts to address these issues. The Coordinator of the Student Assistance
Program is a full-time position, reporting to the Dean of Students at
Lincoln Center.
Responsibilities include: coordinating the Alpha Omega Delta alcohol and
other drug education program; developing and advising the student education
group, the Student Prevention Party; implementing training programs for
students, student organizations and staff; supervising Lollanobooza,
Fordham's annual all-night alternative festival; developing a year-long AOD
prevention series; serving as a role model for students; and, facilitating
workshops for resident students, especially first year residents.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree required, although a graduate degree is
preferred. Knowledge of alcohol and other drug issues required. Strong
communication skills and an ability to work with a variety of constituents
are essential. An understanding of working at a Jesuit Catholic institution
required.
Compensation: Compensation for the position includes a competitive salary
and full University benefits, including tuition remission. This is a
full-time twelve-month position.
