KINSHIP CARE OUTREACH MANAGER
The Children of Alcoholics Foundation, the national non-profit organization
dedicated to breaking the family cycle of addiction, seeks a talented
individual for its Kinship Care Outreach Manager position. The person will
manage COAF's outreach effort for its kinship care initiative that helps
grandparents and other relatives caring for children because of parental
substance abuse. The outreach includes dissemination of materials, national
training, and networking with other organizations involved with families,
children, parenting, child welfare and substance abuse. This full-time
position pays $45,000 per year.
Qualified applicants will have experience working on intergenerational
issues, kinship care, or aging, with a focus on parenting, child
development, and family services. In addition, the candidate should have
some experience with substance abuse issues. Candidate should be willing to
travel occasionally.
Candidates should have excellent communication skills - both verbal and
written - as well as computer proficiency, including such programs as
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft FrontPage, and Microsoft Outlook.
The non-profit Children of Alcoholics Foundation, an affiliate of Phoenix
House, provides education, training and information for children of
alcoholics and other substance abusers, and others who work with them. The
Phoenix House Foundation is the nation's leading non-profit substance abuse
services agency with over seventy programs in eight states.
