Happy New Year to all!
I have been asked to present to the returning RA's on the topic of alcohol
& other drugs and chose to speak to them about new trends -- specifically I
have entitled my presentation "When Good Drugs are Used in Bad Ways" --
targeting drugs that are beneficial but research has shown that students
are using them in ways other than how they were intended. These drugs are:
Rohypnol, GHB, Ritalin and the over the counter drugs (i.e. Robitussin and
Nyquil). I have plenty of facts and figures to share with this group but I
was wondering if anyone had ideas on how to address this in a more
interactive way. The interactive exercises I use for my alcohol workshop
just don't seem to be a good fit.
Thank you all in advance for your help!
