This is a rather interesting web site that you may find useful with
questions about prescription medications. While there are many "PDR-type"
sites on the web, you can check on the specific interactions of multiple
prescriptions at this site. If you wish to check the interaction between a
pharmaceutical and alcohol, you will have to do a search on "alcohol" as a
drug, select the plain "alcohol" option that is displayed (rather than
"alcohol, ethyl" or any of the many other "alcohols" that are listed), and
then compare the interaction. The test drugs I checked were alcohol and
Ritalin (no reported interaction) and alcohol and Valium (severe
interaction). Detailed information can be provided on each drug queried as
well as on the interaction, if one is reported. In addition, the drkoop.com
site is also a pretty good general resource regarding all manner of health
    related issues and questions.

best regards for the new year.
